Terms of Use
The rules for using IAJUS. By accessing the service, you agree to them.
1. What IAJUS is
IAJUS is a research tool for case law, legislation and legal scholarship (doutrina) that have been officially published (the public collection). It is assisted by artificial intelligence and points to the link to the official source whenever one is available. It organizes, locates and ranks public acts, but does not create them. Research is done by legal theses and legal situations: the service does not require third parties' personal data, and you agree not to include such data in your queries (see section 5).
2. IAJUS is not legal advice
IAJUS helps you find and organize sources, but it does not replace the analysis of a qualified professional and is not a legal opinion or recommendation. AI-generated answers may contain errors or omissions: always check the official source indicated before using any information in a real case.
3. BETA service
IAJUS is in a BETA phase and is offered “as is.” We are always improving: features may change, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or the absence of failures.
4. Your account and your API key
You are responsible for keeping your credentials and your API key secret. You are responsible for any use of your key.If you suspect misuse, revoke the key in your account and notify contato@iajus.com.br.
5. Acceptable use
By using IAJUS, you agree not to:
- circumvent usage limits, automate access beyond what is permitted or overload the service;
- include third parties' personal data in the text of your queries, especially sensitive data (art. 11 of the LGPD): search by the thesis or the legal situation, without names, documents or other identifiers of people;
- try to re-identify people or extract personal data from the results;
- use the service for unlawful purposes or to violate the rights of third parties;
- resell or redistribute access without authorization.
6. Content and sources
Case law and legislation are public acts. IAJUS adds its own curation, organization, classification and ranking, and reproduces the link to the official source whenever one is available. The software, the organization of the collection and the technology of IAJUS are our intellectual property.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, IAJUS is not liable for decisions made on the basis of the results without proper checking of the official source, or for temporary unavailability of the service during the BETA.
8. Termination
You may stop using IAJUS and ask for your data to be removed at any time (see the Privacy Policy, courtesy translation). We may suspend access that violates these terms.
9. Governing law and venue
These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil. Any disputes will be resolved in the venue (foro) of the consumer's domicile, where applicable.
10. Contact
Questions about these terms? contato@iajus.com.br.
11. Notice about answers generated by artificial intelligence
Answers generated by artificial intelligence may contain errors, omissions or outdated information. Check the facts, the legal grounds and the sources before using them. The platform does not replace the lawyer's analysis or professional responsibility.
Use of the platform does not remove the lawyer's professional responsibility under art. 32 of Lei 8.906/1994 (Estatuto da Advocacia) [the Brazilian Bar Statute], or the rights provided in arts. 25 and 51 of the Código de Defesa do Consumidor (Lei 8.078/1990) [the Consumer Protection Code]. This notice is also shown at the end of each assistant answer.
